Merten and Storck

Made in Germany

Merten & Storck has engineered cookware with exacting precision since 1873. Much of it is still handcrafted in Drensteinfurt, Germany, using custom tooling that is designed and manufactured in-house. German enameled iron is calculated and calibrated down to the millimeter. As a result, it is 30% lighter yet stronger than traditional cast iron. The GlazeGuard enamel surface is non-porous, non-reactive and scratch resistant. It’s incorporated directly into the base material, creating a bond that’s more chip-resistant than enameled cast iron.

Carbon steel for meticulous cooks

From chefs in starred kitchens to ready-to-eat street food, carbon steel is a staple of global food culture. Merten & Storck uses extra tough black carbon steel, which is three times denser than aluminum, safe for metal utensils and resistant to extreme temperatures. Merten & Storck’s products are pre-seasoned, so you can start cooking right away. Over time they develop a natural non-stick patina layer.
